Beyond The Vines’ Newest Store Is Inspired By A Post Office

By Female on 16 May 2021

Local fashion label Beyond The Vines opens the doors of its new Design Post. Just a few steps away from its Takashimaya outlet, the design studio holds exciting store exclusives, including water bottles by Nalgene (designed with a cool “A World Beyond” illustration), reusable water-proof film cameras, caps, face masks and more. You’ll also find bestsellers like its dumpling bags displayed right at the entrance. The experiential space, which is inspired by a post office, dons unconventional designs like polycarbonate walls and crates decked in its signature blue colour.

Seven months after opening a concept store at Takashimaya Shopping Centre, Beyond The Vines (BTV) has unveiled yet another attention-grabbing retail outpost in the heart of Orchard Road.

Dubbed BTV Design Post, the outlet is situated at #B3-11 Ion Orchard and opened its doors on May 8. This marks the third brick-and-mortar store for the seven-year-old brand which is led by husband-wife power duo Daniel Chew and Rebecca Ting.

In line with the brand’s rebranding efforts last year, the entire facade of the store has been coated in its trademark ‘Engineer’s Blue’ hue and decorated with plastic crates while the store’s stark utilitarianism mirrors the architecture of a post office.

What distinguishes the BTV Design Post from the brand’s other two stores is that it’s a one-stop-shop for accessories and exclusive design drops and collaborations and does not stock any ready-to-wear pieces – harking back to the idea of convenience and a pick-and-go service offered at post offices.
